About Me

I am originally from North Carolina, born and raised. Yes, I am a proud Gen Xer, who was born in the late 60s and raised in the 70s and a teen in the 80s. And yes, WE have the best music! 🙂

I currently reside in the Atlanta, Georgia, area.

In my previous incarnations, I have been a musician, a retail worker, a band director, an actor, a newspaper delivery person, a military loan officer, and an artist-in-residence, among other things. I am currently an SP (Standardized Patient), EA (Event Assistant) and Event Host with The Emory University School of Medicine, and I absolutely LOVE what I do!!!

I have been dealing with mental health issues – relax I am not a psycho, though I love the movie 🙂 – all my life. They are mostly related to thoughts I simply cannot shake, what are known as intrusive or recurring thoughts, a subset of OCD. This is the crux of why I am doing this, to reach out to others like me.

What I do

About Me

I absolutely LOVE to dance! I enjoy listening to 70s and 80s music!! I feel that if we all listened to that type of music everyday, we would be a much happier society 🙂

About Me

Old soap operas are my thing! I grew up watching the ABC soaps — All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital. (It’s my grandmother’s fault LOL) I would rush home from school in time to catch the last 45 minutes of GH. And during the summers growing up, it was always about catching up with AMC and OLTL. I even got into The Edge of Night!

About Me

My hobbies include writing, reading, playing my instruments (trumpet, clarinet and flute), and yes, acting, though I consider that to be more of a profession. But now I can add blogging to the list!
